Understanding the behaviours and qualities of light, its sources, and applications, will allow for the identification of areas for energy improvements in lighting schemes and designs. In addition, knowledge on facade designs and the use of materials affecting the solar heat gain of a building will help with the development of skills on energy load reduction and improved energy efficiency.
Learners attending the course will be equipped with knowledge and skills to optimise lighting schemes and designs to achieve energy-efficiency and sustainability for buildings
Building Envelop and Lighting Systems is one of five elective modules in the Singapore Certified Energy Manager Programme.
Participants will also be required to complete a self-directed e-learning.
